There are many different factors that can lead to unhealthy looking eyes. The most popular ones are dehydration, vitamin deficiencies, fatigue, stress, allergies, blood vessels being dilated under the skin and aging. Check over here.

If your dark circles are caused from fatigue, dehydration and lack of vitamins then these can be easily treated. Drinking 6-8 glasses of water daily can stop dehydration and provide essential moisture to your skin.

Fatigue can cause your skin to look dull therefore it is essential to get the recommended 8 hours of sleep nightly. If your body is deficient in Vitamins K and C this can also lead to unhealthy eyes. If you take Vitamin supplements and use a moisturizer for the face containing Vitamin E, elastin and collagen this can greatly enhance your skin’s appearance and reduce the appearance of dark circles.

Topical Treatments

An eye serum can help cure this stubborn eye problem; however it must contain active ingredients that will address the root causes of the problem. It should contain ingredients specially formulated to be used on the delicate skin under the eyes. Ingredients such as Eyeliss, Haloxyl and Homeoage as these thicken and nourish the skin under the eyes while providing essential moisture.

Home Made treatment:

You can also use cold compress such as tea bags or cucumber slices. Place these on your eyes while lying down for about 15 minutes. This will decrease the appearance of the dark circles; however this is just a temporary measure. Also avoid smoking, caffeine and alcohol.

Laser Surgery

Laser treatment is also an option. This option is usually used on patients whose dark circles are caused by dilated blood vessels or extreme pigmentation.
